These resources are at the fingertips of your practitioner: Ex. stretching, isometrics, MediCupping vacuum pumping, Far Infrared Light, gentle massager vibration, myofascial release or Dolphin MPS Neurostim Therapy, stretching, sustained positional release, trigger point, and more.

Natural Muscle Release

We often add sustained positional release to your session, which acts as the exact opposite of stretching. Your practitioner positions your body to shorten the spasmed muscle, holding it in a relaxed state. As you perform a simple breathing technique, it signals the muscle memory after 90 seconds to let go of the spasm.  As you do a breathing technique, it signals the muscle memory after 90 seconds to let go of the tension, naturally.  These bodywork specialty techniques target pain and restrictions without force as a soothing experience.

Isometrics offer another excellent bodywork method. Because muscles work in pairs, you engage the relaxed muscle against gentle, short resistance from your practitioner. Consequently, your opposite spasmed muscle relaxes. Clients typically experience this as a natural, amazing release of neck tension.

Pain Relief Without Force

We target and release stubborn muscle spasms without elbow digging, deep force sports massage, nor bruising. Instead, you will experience a variety of gentle techniques that release inflammation, correct compensation patterns in the connective tissue (fascia), ease joint pain, and resolve neuromuscular restrictions.

Choosing Your Session Length

If you are short on time and want relief for one really troublesome area, the 30-minute session works perfectly as a spot treatment. Suffering, stubborn areas require more time and attention to detail, especially if you have had this problem awhile. Meanwhile, an hour session can usually cover two problem areas and possibly massage of other areas. If you suffer from more than two areas of pain, you may need a 75 or 90-minute session,  or multiple visits. To request a 90-minute session, simply text Maryanne.

Before and During a Massage

Appointment preparation and policies: Finish eating 90 minutes before a session. During a massage with lotion, all clients are draped conservatively. Payment expressing your satisfaction is made after your first received service. No refunds are provided on received services. Calm Relief wants you to leave very pleased. If for any reason you are not satisfied, immediately discuss how we can adjust for your comfort. We want  to serve you with the care you need.

Appointment changes Short Notice: Provide at least 24 hours advanced notice to change an appointment reserved exclusively for you. Failure to make sure the practitioner is notified, carries a $50 short notice/no show fee.   If the short notice fee is paid twice, future appointments will require advanced nonrefundable payment in full in order to reserve an appointment.

Tardiness: If you are late, the session will end at the scheduled ending time. There is a 15 minute courtesy waiting time before the appointment is considered a no-show. Thank you for honoring the practitioner’s time and business policy.

After a Massage

The time it takes to disrobe and get dressed is counted as part of your session length, which is standard in massage therapy.

Drink at least two cups of water following a massage. The wonderful feeling after a massage will last longer. Water is needed to cleanse stirred debris.

Should I come with a sore throat or fever?

NO. Sickness is contagious, especially in the first three days.  Massage makes sickness feel worse.  No massage will take place when a fever is present. If you are not sure you should come, call to discuss it. 407-756-4947 Thank you for understanding and providing notice.

Tipping

CASH tipping is customary for excellent service and greatly appreciated! Credit card companies charge a merchant fee. The full amount is received when it’s cash.  However, Calm Relief never wants  to add financial stress, and would rather have your business if tipping is uncomfortable.
