Craniofacial Manual Lymph Drainage – MLD

Craniofacial Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle, deeply relaxing treatment as a comprehensive scalp,  brain, cervical (neck), sinus, face, and TMJ cleanse. By opening up healthy circulation, removing excess fluid retention, inflammatory debris, and pressure on the nerves, it creates an optimal environment for your brain to focus, process, and heal. A case study also suggests MLD for aiding neurological diseases and Fibromyalgia (FMD).

One session for wellness maintenance or a series of sessions for hair growth,  head injuries and trauma. Based on case studies a series may aid in dementia prevention by reducing brain plaque. Of course, there is no substitute for a pairing proper diet change to support reducing plaque.

Potential Health & Wellness Benefits

While results vary, based on individual medical history, clients often experience:

  • Brain & Cognitive Support: Calms the mind, increases focus, improves mental alertness, and aids in the clearing of plaque buildup.

  • Physical Relief: Reduces sinus inflammation, eases cranial pressure, minimizes certain headaches, and decreases head trauma swelling.

  • Circulation & Hair Health: Releases scalp adhesions to open up healthy blood flow and a cleaner healthier environment for hair follicle growth. Scalp adhesions are places where your scalp connective tissue is stuck.

  • Fluid Drainage: Helps drain excess fluid retention stemming from inflammatory responses or allergic reactions- including COVID boosters. Drainage is often experienced as a post-nasal drip during or following the session.

Client testimonial of combined cranial techniques

“Dad is 81 and… returned to using his right arm as his dominant hand. Following a former stroke, my dad’s arm usually hung by his side and he used his hand rarely in five years. After the third cranial session, I noticed dad was bringing his dinner plate to the kitchen with both hands. After his fourth session, he showed me the motion of throwing a baseball with his right arm. He can turn over on his side by himself, walk better, and finish sentences happily. We are so thankful to MaryAnne.”   Lisa S., Altamonte Springs

When the head sustains an impact, the central nervous system’s cellular waste clearance can temporarily shut down or experience severe fluid stagnation. Foundational neurological research demonstrated that even mild head injuries cause immediate blockages in the delicate vessels beneath the skull, trapping neuroinflammatory waste.

This is where MLD therapy steps in. By applying gentle, rhythmic pressures to the head, face, and neck, Craniofacial MLD physically stimulates to opens the “drainage gates,” allowing stagnate fluid to exit the brain, lowering inflammation, and accelerating cognitive recovery.
