The Experience

A very light stimulation of a few acupressure places calms the body into the rest, digest, repair mode, like when you are falling asleep.  Next, an ear-clip (see the picture) and an e-stim gel pad are applied to your belly skin to receive silent, gentle stimulation.

The stimulation is so light that many people do not feel anything and fall asleep as they hear the ambiance of soft music and calming fountain.

This care provides deep relaxation, causing the vagus nerve to function better. This is not a massage, but a microcurrent combined with e-stim treatment. It’s a time out from stress with no distractions and no cell phone interruptions for 45 minutes. Results and number of sessions vary based on individual health.

Number of sessions

Because there are many causes of pain and various client lifestyles and medical conditions, the results vary. On average for mild conditions or early symptoms most people see results in one to three 45 minute sessions of VNS. The number of sessions needed also vary with severity of your condition. The pain relief and improvement is not a guarantee. Please note: Massage therapy is alternative care, not a substitute for a doctor. Massage Therapists do not diagnose, nor prescribe, nor cure.

Before and During a Massage

Finish eating 90 minutes before a massage or bodywork. During a massage with lotion, all clients are draped conservatively. Payment expressing your satisfaction is made after your first received service. No refunds are provided on received services.

After a Massage

The time it takes to disrobe and get dressed is counted as part of your session length, which is standard in massage therapy.

Drink at least two cups of water following a massage. The wonderful feeling after a massage will last longer. Water is needed to cleanse stirred debris.

 

Should I come with a sore throat or fever?

NO. Sickness is contagious, especially in the first three days.  Massage makes sickness feel worse.  No massage will take place when a fever is present. If you are not sure you should come, call to discuss it. 407-756-4947 Thank you for understanding and providing notice.

Tipping

CASH tipping is customary for excellent service. Credit card companies charge a merchant fee. The full amount is received when it’s cash. Though not required, it is greatly appreciated!  However, Calm Relief never wants added financial stress, and would rather have your business.
